In an old limestone quarry near the waterfront, you can see the little tykes from the Oamaru little penguin colony surfing in and wading ashore. Join us on an evening tour to two quite distinctive Penguins colonies.

Moeraki Boulders
38km from Oamaru, 30 minutes drive
The Moeraki Boulders are a group of very large spherical “stones” on Koekohe Beach near Moeraki on New Zealand’s Otago coast. These boulders are actually concretions that have been exposed through shoreline erosion from coastal cliffs that back the beach.
North Otago Museum
